Yes, it releases serotonin and endorphins. They've done studies on this.

Definitely yes, because whenever I listen to a piece of certain music, it holds me to absorb my emotions in every lyric of a song. It's just like that the music talks to me, and it delivers a mixed emotion, whether the song is sad or about happy. Moreover, sometimes music can comfort you at a certain time which the music serves as a peaceful sound that you can feel that you have your own world.

I have read articles based on the positive or beneficial effects music has you. Prior to looking into this music has always been my go to stress reliever so it makes sense that there is some sort of bodily effects overall

It does affect pain perception. I suppose the style(volume, tempo, freq./pitch) can change heartrate, mood etcetera.
Certain music just has a desired effect on me personally, and others not so.

Music is my therapy. When I'm at my lowest the only thing that cheers me up is music. I personally like metal and rock. I also love rap and greek rap but not greek trap. In trap they only swear is awful. I also like greek old music. Me and my dad could listen to greek old music all day. I love many genres of music but I certainly don't like classical music!

Music that heals my soul is gospel music. Especially when I'm angry and I feel like people are testing my patience

Listening to music heals me too. It helps me when I am stressing out. Music calms me down when I need to relax my nerves. It also helps me get pumped up when I am working.
