Me too. I usually get lost in lyricsstoppoppingtheP wrote: ↑28 Sep 2016, 07:49 I can't study when listening to music. I always end up listening to the words and getting distracted. I sometimes listen to music in other languages though, that's not too bad. Maybe classical music would help.

I didn't realize there were studies on this! That's super cool. I too find classical or instrumental zen music is the best to study or work to. I'm a fan of Vivaldi's Four Seasons.Lucinda Nevarez wrote: ↑27 Sep 2016, 09:39 The best music, I've listened to would be classical music. It helps keep my mind in a state of serenity which allows me retain knowledgeable information I need. There has been a study on how classical music, particularly Mozart, enhances your IQ levels while studying.

I have a playlist on Spotify called “fail safe study” and it had all my favorites. There’s another one that I have that has a bunch of soundtrack music in it all willy nilly. I’d listen to the stuff in there and if the song fit the not-too-distracting or the oh-my-gosh-this-makes-me-feel-like-I’m-having-an-adventure vibes I was looking for, it went into the “fail safe” playlist.
Honestly, the music made me feel like I was doing things and helped remind me why I was there (this playlist was birthed in college). It has songs that I don’t immediately recognize where they’re from now, but that is the kind of song the playlist was built on. And I think something I loved into the background of what I was doing at the time is what made the playlist really powerful.
