I really don't think the two are comparable. I love singing. It is my passion, something I have done since I was a little girl. I wouldn't be able to sing if I didn't listen to music. I listen to music whenever I have free time. I love both and one could not exist withought the other thus I cannot answer your question. :|

I cannot sing, so for me it's listening to music.

Listening always and if it's a song I really enjoy then I'll sing along to it. I don't think I could choose one or the other, it depends completely on my mood and what's playing.

It depends on how I'm feeling, but I love singing because it helps me release anxiety and fears. When I need calm and tranquility, I listen to mostly soundtracks and classical music (though I admit I sometimes sing along to the melodies  ).

I love both listening to music, and singing, however, I enjoy singing much more. I've been taking classes for the past 3 years in order to improve my singing, and general music lessons. I recommend that journey to anyone who is passionate about music! :D

I prefer listening to music. I used to be in the school choir but I am still self-conscious about singing. If I'm alone in my house I will sing along to some songs. However, while I could go without singing, I don't think I could go without listening to music. Listening to music is a big part of my life and I like having background music.

Listening or singing...wow! They are both great, and I love doing either one. I have been singing since a child. I love listening to music, because it relaxes me. Also reflect on the great musical talents of different instruments incorporated with listening to a song.

I agree that they're not really comparable. Sometimes you just want to let a tune carry you, and sometimes you want to be the one to carry it. i've always loved singing and the pleasant feeling it gives me and I do it all the time, but listening and learning is a big part of it, and of course part of *why* I want to sing is that I want to sound like the singers I listen to and love. It's like reading and writing in that way.

Listening to music is my favorite way to enjoy music. I find that I can really connect with the lyrics and the melody when I listen to a song.
