I like most everything from 1920's Felix the Cat music to big band swing to classic rock and country and some of the newer ballads. Dont like rap crap, to me it sounds like two chain saws mating.

I am in love with various forms of music. I guess I would have to say Neo-Soul.
Favorite artist(s) in that genre Erykah Badu, Maxwell, Yasin Bey :)

I'm into W. African music and in particular music of the Kora, a 21-string harp-lute. I've made a few of them myself and am learning to play them.

Opera, opera, opera, the lion's share of the rest of the classical genre, and my sister has been getting me into some of now's pop. Of course, I was raised on eighties and early nineties rock and pop, and oldies... so I guess my tastes are quite varied. Thank goodness! :D

Oh, and Vitas! Did I forget Vitas? I really like Birdie, too.

I used to close my show on college radio (The Bluekedelic Pyscho Rocka-Rocka Old Folks Dance Marathon Hour [thanx Firesign Theater]) with Bob Will's "Panhandle Rag" and the tag-line "If you don't like Western Swing, ya just ain't American."

I'm so cool, I like everything except what's popular, which of course includes Pop and at this point rap/hip-hop. What little I inadvertantly hear of these genre does not appeal to me.

One of my favorite recorded tracks of all time is "Keep Your Lamps Trimmed and Burnin'" by Hot Tuna featuring Papa John Creach on violin. I think everybody should give it a try.

I certainly will, FNAWrite. I'm very glad to see so many members here who are passionate about music. As I've been able to hear it all my life, I just don't want to think about a world without it. I guess that if I go deaf I can't help it, but I sure don't want to!
