Once I was at Metallica concert. Wow, it was great, the atmosphere there was really great and I was struck by the energy the musicians gave to the audience.

Once I was at Metallica concert. Wow, it was great, the atmosphere there was really great and I was struck by the energy the musicians gave to the audience.

I've heard that their concerts are great, yet I haven't gone...

I've been to more classic rock and punk concerts.

I recently saw Joan Jett and the Blackhearts at Hollywood Park, it was absoflippinlutely amazing!

It couldn't have been much better, probably going to be my most memorable concert ever for many reasons.

Went to see Muse perform in the O2 venue in Dublin city a few months back and they were absolutely fantastic, they out a HUGE effort into their live gigs i was blown away with the scale of the production- they emerged from the stage which was raised from the middle of the venue like something out of a sci-fi movie and then stood in total silence for 2 minutes before blasting out their massive hit Uprising.

Unforgettable stuff.

That's pretty cool, though as a musician and avid fan, I prefer the smaller venues.

All of the pyrotechnics (like Greenday's insane ones), fire, lights, moving parts, etc are cool but they just distract from the thing you came for.

I go to see a band perform and get into it, not "ooh" and "ahh" over the purty lights and booms.

I'd rather them come out with only speakers and mics hooked up then play.

Which is why I really freakin' love Joan Jett, oddly enough (considering most don't) she sounds better live than on cd!

Back in June of 2008, I saw Iron Maiden in concert and their performance was incredible. Stage props, fire, costumes, the whole nine yards. I also saw Poison, Skid Row, Dokken, Avenged Sevenfold, Black Tide, Operator, The Confessions, and many more. The most memorable for me, however, was when Twisted Sister came to my local Memorial Hall for a concert. I stood right against the stage and got video of Dee Snider leaning into the audience right next to me; my camera was basically in his hair

I heard Rachmaninov's second piano concerto live at the Phoenix Symphony Hall. It was amazing, an hour of music and the pianist played the whole thing from memory! It was awesome! There's no music like live music.

Do Opera's and a Symphony count? How about a Broadway show?? I have never been to what most would call a traditional concert, but I have heard Rachmoniov's Symphony Number 2, and I have seen Verdi's "Rigoletto" (the very first Opera I've ever attended), Aida (I cried!), Gluck's "Orpheo Ed Euridice", (Not my favorite, as it was the first time it had ever been premiered in our area, so not enough time to put together great props, but the Furies were amazing!), and finally, the best of them all, even though it too was a premiere, it had amazing EVERYTHING!! BLOWN AWAY by the leading sopranos performance, so terrific, she ties with Joan Sutherland in my opinion, Donizetti's "Lucia De Lammermoor"! *SIGH* Absolutely breath taking, bone chilling, chills up and down my spine!! I wanted to stand up and scream!
