What if you could choose a song at your funeral?

This is the place for readers of poetry. Discuss poetry and literary art. You can also discuss music here, including lyrics. Also, you can discuss poets themselves, in addition to poetry.

At the moment, I want it to be Gold Day by Sparklehorse. It just feels right. Also maybe some songs by Explosions in the Sky.

This would be really nice. Being the believer I am, I'd choose to give people hope and remind them that in the end, death never wins.

I'm not sure what song I'd pick if I had to pick just one. The people closest to me know how much I love music and I'm sure I have a special song with each of them or a song that we've enjoyed together so I would rather they each pick a song that reminds them of me and not necessarily a tear-jerker.

The Dying Swan from Swan Lake. Not because of the oddly appropriate title, but because of the beautiful story the music tells. It really captures the essence of the journey through life, I think.

I haven't actually thought of that. But one song that makes me feel would be suitable for a funeral would be Still Fighting It by Lee Chan Sol.

I find appreciation to be of value and would sure be down to just let people know and remember all that I encompassed while alive from my thoughts to my personal so I'd have The Band Perry's if i die young play.
