I mostly write poems for my mom, so, I tone it with passion and love and tenderness.

When I use to write poetry, I always had sort of a somber mood to my poems. This was no because I am a somber or sad person, it’s just that I find it easier to tap into deep emotions of sad or happy in a heartfelt way.

For me, just like for many other people, poetry is usually an outlet, so... It's not particularly structured, but I go for strong images and repetitions. I guess the mood of theirs would be best described as 'pain'. ^^'

Somber and inquisitive toward the complexities of human emotion and the simplicity of nature.
Tiger got to hunt, bird got to fly;
Man got to sit and wonder 'why, why, why?'

I usually write when I'm sad and troubled so most of my poems are angsty and melancholic.

Sometimes I also write about long lost hope.
I like to read poems of similar mood as well.

I used to dwell a lot on relationships and write poems or songs about past loves. Now I try to write about more positive things. Confidence, motivation, nature.

My poems reflect my current emotional state. If I'm depressed my poems are dark and hopeless. If I'm feeling motivated they are full of energy and ideas. Its like the ocean, one moment calm and the next raging! :doh: :doh: :doh:
