Favorite Poet/Poem?

My favorite poets are Robert Browning, Robert Frost, Emily Dickinson, A.C. Swinburne, and Christina Rossetti. What are yours? My favorite poem is "The Ring and the Book" (Browning) and "Idylls of the King" (Tennyson). I like any type of poetry though and I'm open to new suggestions for poems/poets. Does anyone have any?

I like the greatest poet ALLAMA IQBAL. He was a sincere person and he contribute a well part of his life for the development of his country.

My favorite poet is jibonando das. She is a bengali poet. But his poem is always awesome. My heart always feel like his poetry.

I really like his poem.

Since lyrics can be considered poetry as well, I would like to suggest Nick Cave as a solid poet. The way he rewrote the story of Orpheus and Eurydice was extroardinary. And it isn't his only magnificent song. His voice adds value to his work. His novels are rubbish though...

My favourite poet is Galib. His poetry is so pure and Soulful that anyone may easily fall in love after reading that.

My favorite Poet is Louisa May Alcott, because she has written allot of poems about nature. :P I also like allot of the books she has written. :wink:

I like the poems of Hariwansh Rai Bacchhan & William Wordsworth......... Their deep meanings & the portrait of this beautiful world takes my heart away.

Edgar Allan Poe and D H Lawrence wrote some deep, beautiful poetry. They are definitely amongst my favourites.
