My best work output comes in when I listen to music. I'm always concentrated when bumping to music.

I like to create stories in my mind every day and if I don't have music to accompany my thoughts almost every time, the outcome is not the same.

I prefer music when working, it keeps me motivated. If I am feeling down or even depressed, music helps to improve my mood. On the other hand, if I need to focus, silence works better for me so that I can hear and process my thoughts.

Yes, music does help but to me, it's not all music. It depends on the type of music there are some times that music has been a source of motivation to me and I can say it really helps me a lot

When I am in the office I always have music in the background playing. Usually some jazz bossa nova thing. It gelps me to concentrate and be productive. When I am home cooking I have something from 80-ies on. When the music is off I feel like something is missing and I cannot concentrate. Strange, right?

Lyrical songs are very distracting, but soft instrumental really gets you in the zone.

There's also specific frequencies offered on some YouTube channels that have been designed to synchronize your neuron firing rate- it's called brain entrainment

Yes, it has a lot of purposes. One advantage I gleaned and attest from this is productivity and school at work. I can juggle between the two because of music and I am thankful for this.
