I listen to Richard Bona. It calms the mind and "blocks" the distraction.

I prefer silence or at most listen to classical music an hour before producing something.

I sometimes find it very distracting, but at some other times I enjoy working in a noisy environment. I could say It depends with the mood I'm in at that particular moment.

Music really helps with my anxiety. Only music can block all stupid, irrational non stop thoughts running in my head.

Yes sure, as a writer.
I see my love for music and my writing as they both go hand in hand. Music is special because it enlightens our minds as a writer in its flow. You can not be a writer if you don't have a musical mind. The stories and scenes we created in our writing come in musical forms in our minds.
The thoughts or ideas that we express in writing are emotional, they cause readers to have the same feelings as we writers. So this flow of emotions that we express in writing comes in musical forms. It flows and fluctuates. It makes the reader feel sad, happy, sexy etc. It does have a flow just like musical flow.
a musical mind!

Music really help, but I cannot listen to music while working. I usually listen to music after a certain mentally demanding task, as it enables me to relax and rejuvenate.

Music is a therapy tool for me. I listen to music when happy, sad, tired, and almost every time I get access to it.

Yes, indeed, it helps. There are a lot of functions it offers. More likely, it helps us be productive, emotional, and happy. Music is fire, and music is life.

Yes, music gives a big help in people, specially those who are bored and emotionally weak. I treat music as a way to escape from reality, dive into my dreams, listen to my inner self, and heal the emotional pain. Music is not just a simple music but it centers a very deep meaning that will generate us realizations anything about life. It could boost our emotions and improve our thinking skills and make us in a better mood as we listen to music.

I definitely work better with music ! Honestly unable to do anything productive without it as I tend to lose my focus. The only time I'll ever not work on something without music is when I'm taking an exam; even then, I try to keep music on (especially now that some of my classes are still online).

I prefer silence or instrumental music. If there are lyrics, I get distracted. I will start to listen to the words or sing the words instead of working.
