1. What do you do when you aren't writing?

I am 86 and retired.

2. Who or what has been the biggest influence in your life?

I am basically a religious person; I also have an interest and flare for writing from my childhood. Some books on the subject stirred me to write.

3. What does success mean to you? When did you or will you consider yourself successful?

It means inner satisfaction that I have done a good work!

4. Let's discuss your book Hinduism. Why did you choose this subject?

My inherent interest in writing and my inclination for this topic.

5. How much research went into the book and how did you do that research?

The book is mainly a product of my retirement; it just came naturally, as in my "second innings of life" I met many spiritual leaders of the community and learned persons who had great knowledge of the subject. I also read many books on the subject.

6. The reviewer mentions that you "isolated the most important things about the Hindu religion"? How did you decide what information about Hinduism to include?

Mostly from my reading and research on the topic

7. Having been raised in India, was it hard to write the book in English?

English is very commonly used in India. All my education was in English.

8. Are there any further books in the works?

I do keep updating my book regularly but I do not intend to write any new books.

Interesting to know more about Hinduism by Dr. Hiro Badlani. Appreciate his passion at such age. I built up my interest, as I am a bit aware of some of the divine personalities around me in India. Many disciples have acquired spiritual knowledge through

sadhanas

and studies.
