Lets us distinguish between an individual author's perspective and his perspective behind the book

I know Chibundu Onuzo and I have read Welcome To Lagos by her. She's is a great storyteller. I must say that I felt afloat when the author mentioned her as one of the writers he admires.

I appreciate the comments the author made about race. Being an outsider and writing from that perspective must be a challenge. Having others take it seriously and connect with the text is a whole other mountain to climb.
I totally agree with you!

Great interview! The interviewer's questions were very thought-provoking. I'm not even an author but I know some of these questions were different from anything the author has been asked before . It's always amazing to see interviews that are this focused on the art itself instead of the author's favorite color etc. This interview also did a good job in getting the author to tell us some of his thoughts on the world

As a Congolese I find this storyteller fascinating and am immediately curious to find out how the story of "Lemba" his main character ended. What a great book indeed, so fascinating.

My favorite answers were the first and the last. It's nice to read that the author had good influences at home. And I also like chocolate.

I had a nice time reading through the Interview. I love the way the interview ended with his girlfriend comment. I look forward to reading books written by the author.

I can relate with the author when he says novel is his choice. It is not easy to write, but it is very well rich. Kudos to the writer.

A really informative interview.
I liked how the questions were delivered, professionally. The author seems like a amazing person.

There is no other option. My mother had an obsession with thank-you notes that were well-written. My fate was determined by a well-known war author. He claimed that authors are neither intelligent enough to become doctors or attractive enough to become actors. So I made do with something a little less terrifying.
