***************************************************************************************************************************************************************
1. Who are you when you aren't writing?

I am a husband and a father of four daughters and nine grandchildren and two dogs.

2. Let's discuss your book When No One Else Believed. What made you decide to turn your life into a book?

God putting on my heart to write a book about my wife’s miracle. I thought I could never do it. But all things are possible when God's in it.

3. Describe your writing process.

I write best early in the morning. I also try to visualize what I’m writing. I just wrote a screenplay from the book. It took me three years. There is a lot of visualizing in writing a screenplay. There’re some days I get writer’s block when I do I stop writing. I had to learn that the hard way because it was very painful to sit there and not think of anything to write.

4. Do you find writing fascinating, exhausting, or both?

I find it fascinating and very therapeutic.

5. Can you tell us a little about the title, how you decided on it and what it means?

The story is about no one believing me, that God spoke to me. So, it was an easy title for me to think up.

6. The book discusses your battle with ADHD. How did that affect your writing?

That’s an interesting question. I am a better writer than I am a reader. I must read very slowly and go back in some cases and re-read what I just read to understand what I’m reading.

7. Is there one main message that you want your readers to walk away with?

Yes, if a dummy like me can write, that tells you that if God’s in it you can too!

8. Have you done any book tours? What's next for you?

Yes, I have. I have done at least five book tours. I also speak at churches and civic groups about my story.

I like to end with fun questions.

9. What advice would you give an aspiring author?

If you are called to write or have a great desire to write. I will quote John Maxwell.

“GREAT WRITERS ARE NOT KNOWN FOR THE WRITING…THEY ARE KNOWN FOR THEIR RE-WRITING”

10. What's your perfect day?

Writing with no interruptions.

11. What are you currently reading?

I am currently reading a great book titled Who’s Eating Your Pie By Erik Weir. It’s a great read. I highly suggest it.

12. If you could be any animal, what would you be and why?

That’s easy for me, a Golden Retriever. Because they’re so loving and want to please you. They are just full of love like me.
A book is a dream you hold in your hands.

As someone who also struggles with ADHD, I'm a big fan! So it was really great to get an insight into an author's life when you relate so much to their words!

I read the book and was amazed by both the miraculous healing of Patsy and the miraculous writing of the book. Nothing is impossible with God. That's for sure.

So when do we see the movie?

I don't know why people find it difficult to believe that God can speak to a man. I’m so happy that you could share your experience in writing.

Great interview! I also have a tendency to re-read passages when I’m really enjoying a book.
