I am grateful for the tips. I love reading and I have always wanted to write my own book. These tips are really helpful and i believe that they will be helpful as i pursue becoming an author. I think that joining a writer's critic group would help me alot as it would help me to identify areas that my writing needs improvement.

It was good for me to realize what steps I'm weak in so that I can go about correcting them. Thank you. The writing and critique groups can be helpful- you have a second or third pair of eyes to look at your work. If there is one close to your area, that is helpful. so you don't have to drive so far. Sometimes it can also be a good idea to start one yourself, if there are non in your area, and have some of your writing-minded friends join.

You are actually right. It is hard, if not impossible to come with something good without a clear heads-up. One always needs a little guidance, to avoid becoming overly frustrated. Whenever I read a piece of writing that was well crafted, I appreciate and identify what made it stand out. Then, I also make it a point to identify and learn as well. This has enabled me to improve my skills as a reviewer.
