Gary, I have not read your book yet, only the review and a sample. I will read it and get back to you. You have given me hope that writing about your own life disguised in fiction can work. I am a would-be writer.

The more I read the letter the more I found the urge to look for the book "the sword swallower", and I really hope to be inspired and entertained by it. After which I will be looking forward to get your next book.

Hi Gary I enjoyed ready you interpretation of your book. It shed the light on what life was like during that time in the circus. I can remeber seeing and hearing about the freaks in the circus bit this was their life and how they entertained us. How intetesting that someone could teach themself how to swallow swords. Look forward to reading more.

I read this book back a few months ago and definitely thought it was unique. I really liked the character Duke, and thought he added mystique to the story. It's funny because I wasn't as fond of the character Gary because I felt like his behavior was so unbelievable. To learn that this is an actual portrayal of the author is amazing and changes the whole tune of the story for me. I guess I did not read that this book was based on the author's life before. Congrats and keep plugging! Great story.

personal touches and relations add such a wonderful slant to a tale.
Sounds like an experience we can all share vicariously.
