I must have laughed and cried a couple of times while reading your letter, Mr. Robinson. :) (exaggerated cos i did not cry) :D Such an amazing story. It brought out some emotions in me that I thought were long forgotten. A road once traveled. Anyway, lemme save my breath for the real deal for I can't wait to grab a copy.

Dear Gary,

Your book seems to be quite interesting. I have just joined onlinebookclub and I definitely will make it a point to read this book. The story appears to be captivating and touched my heart when I read the brief description of the book. I hope that the book, 'The Sword Swallower and a Chico Kid,' has a huge success and I wish you all the best for it.

Best regards,

Shanta

I really hope I get a chance to read this book. I love it when authors pull from their personal experiences as it helps with getting a good insight into the characters and experiencing what they have.

Mr. Robinson,
I did not choose to review your book because it did not seem to me then like a book with the capacity to hold one's thoughts and imagination for more than the minutes you are reading it. I love books which are relatable and if possible, entertaining. Your book, from your letter, has got it all and I'm going to find that out.
Thank you

I am inspired by yet another story of positive transformation. In this wounded world, it is so important to get the message across - that anyone brave enough can survive, overcome, and prosper. Thank you for your wonderful gift to the world. I look forward to reading your beautiful experience.

Thank you for this very interesting letter!
It made me really interested in reading this book sometime in the future. Books that can make me feel all types of emotion, all whilst bringing in truths everyone needs to hear, are just amazing to me.

Hi Gary,
I downloaded a sample of The Sword Swallower and A Chico Kid and thouroughly enjoyed the chapters I was able to read.
The mental image I got of the sword swallowing act Duke performs for the bikers both horrified and fascinated me. Your descriptions and dialogue were so graphic that I could see each scene as clearly as if I was watching a movie.
Unfortunately my sample ended all too soon, after Duke gets inked so he can be the tattooed man and starts out on his journey.
I wish I could read more, so it is great to hear you are working on another book.

I am from San Francisco and was there during the 80s. Although I worked in a straight-laced law firm and dressed the part the real me was anything BUT. I kept my 2d job secret for the most part because it had people the lawyers wouldn't be able to relate to. They were often colorful characters with big personalities which I enjoyed in opposition to these uptight straight-laced folks. I loved the colorful people of all types living in San Francisco. It didn't matter to me what or who they were, they had a story and I wanted to hear it. I LOVE this book for it's humanity and everyday person appeal. It appeals to me because Duke is happy in what he is doing irrespective of whatever other people might think of him. I feel like I am right there watching him in person. Duke did a unique and difficult job (I would have been terrified to do) because it's was HIS thing. He wanted to be free to do his thing without limits. Took me a long time to be free enough to do my thing. The book is easy-going and I really enjoyed it. I will be writing a review later on when I finish.

I hope someday to write my own book about some of my own life experiences and some of my animal's life experiences who are real characters with personalities. I enjoy autobiographies and biographies about any kind of person. Thanks so much for sharing. :D
