Which is more effective?

Before posting in this marketing forum, please try to read 10 Step Plan to Promote Your Book: Online Book Marketing on Any Budget. This forum is mainly for followup questions and discussion after reading that book. This forum does indeed allow for much broader discussion of marketing and promotion than just that book, but it's good for everyone to be on the same page about the basics.

Please note, this forum is not for self-promotional plugs. It's for discussing how to promote your book or other writing.

For promotion of writer, what's key is writing a eye-caughting scenes and cover picture with well expounded characters. The title of the article or the book is another thing which detemines the what is worthy.

Wordpress is more effective for ebooks, it is less complicated. and connected with other authors are much more easier with it.

If you make a social media account and give little previews to your readers or followers, that would also add traffic to your book!

The question is Blog site? You can do it in Wordpress. If the question now is, Is the personal Blog site more effected than a personal Web site for a writer? I rather choose a Blog site. Because every reader can participate to post a comment or maybe suggestion.

I think Wordpress works better. It has some good SEO tools, and it can show up better in search engines. Blogs take a very long time to grow and show up often in other's people's searches or feeds.

I believe most people are leaning towards to Word Press these days. Therefore, I think it would be a better site for authors.

Both are effective but Nowadays Wordpress is more effective for ebooks, compared to the blog it takes to time to create the web pages but it is very easy to use so everyone is using this one.

I use Wordpress and find it very effective. I can't really compare because I've had just a very limited experience with the other, but WP does have some wonderful plugins that you can do almost anything with.

WordPress is better than a blog. By using WordPress you can create a blog.

If you're considering blogging as a hobby with no intention of turning this into a mainstream revenue-generating business, Blogger is better than WordPress. However, if you blog to build a brand for yourself, monetize and make money from your blog, you should consider going in for the self-hosted WordPress blog.

What do you mean exactly, you can make a blog in WordPress. You can also make blog without WordPress. WP is such a cool tool that is helpful for making blogs. If you want to make blogs to improve your writing skills, definitely WP is good place for starters.

WordPress is better in my opinion because it gives you more liberty to go in any direction you want in the future.
