Divergent by Veronica Roth, the first book in the Divergent Trilogy.

It's becoming quite popular in the fantasy arena and I believe it will be getting a movie?

I posted the poll to cast your vote for the June book of the month. I have also created the special subforum to discuss the April book, The Bone Season.

As of the time of this post, nominations are for July.

Please remember, one nomination per user per month. You must have a post count of at least 10 and been a member for at least a week to post a nomination, or else it will be ignored.

Divergent. I Cannot put it down. Everyone needs to read it before they watch the movie. That is my nomination

Latest Review: "Adventures in space & fiction fantasy" by Robin G Howard

I just finished reading The Witch of Hebron: A World Made By Hand Novel, by James Howard Kunstler, 2010. It's a fantastic dystopia, and seems to be the second in a series, though I did not read the first in the series and I was able to understand and enjoy this one just fine.

Summary of the book: It is the near future. Terrorist attacks, power outages, and epidemics have returned America to the pre-industrial age. This is a huge adjustment for all the grownups, while the kids hardly remember the Old Times. In a small town in rural New York State, the return to the pre-industrial age also seems to have brought with it a return of the superstitions and mysterious spiritual powers that characterized that time.
