I nominate City of Heavenly Fire by Cassandra Clare. I have read most of the series and this is the last one I have yet to read.

It is book 6 of a series. According to the new rules, the book must not be part of a series.

I would like to recommend 'Guns of the South' by Harry Tutledove. It is an Alternative History set during, the American Civil War. It involves real and imagined characters. It also, as you will see from the book cover, an AK-47 which as you can imagine, does not belong in that time so, in that vein, involves time travel though, this is not the central aspect of the story. I would highly recommend this read, as it is well written, has excellent characters, a good story between a man and woman (a love story that eventually happens) and some great action. Even thought the AK-47 does not belong, it really works.

I have just finished reading an e book entitled the Circle Half full by Judy Warwick. I was probably the first person to download it. I found the story line very realistic and would recommend it for anyone who has been hurt in love and was able to survive and move on. Very well written too.
