So, after becoming book of the month, I decided to finally see what all the hullabaloo was about. Normally, I then understand what others see in the book, but am not particularly inclined to read it, but this one caught me

I thought it was unique in it's plot but I wouldn't go out of my way to say people are missing out if they hadn't read it. The only reason I read it was because it was book of the month.

I agree. I wouldn't go so far to say it's a must-read book or that people are missing out. I thought the writing was very good, but I can't say the story was fabulous.

I agree. I love how the author got us to hate then empathize with a character I wanted to hate because I could see her as my past bullies.

I agree with so many of you. This isn't normally the type of book I lean towards reading, but I agree that the character development was a really nice twist. I will have to start looking for more from this author!

I haven't read this book yet, and have mixed feelings as to whether I should. I've heard great things about it, but on the other hand, have also heard it's hard to get into and some readers don't like the ending. That, in itself, makes me jump to conclusions about the ending and how I'll feel about it. I guess I should read it and let the book speak for itself. What is the general consensus - read or not read??

I think the general consensus is that even though most of the characters are not likable, the writing is very well done which makes it worth the read. Once I got past the beginning part, I read through the rest of the book pretty quickly.
