Even though the description promises readers some excitement to be found in the challenges the three companions are going to face, to me the story sounds somewhat sedate. I don't mean to offend, but I prefer a bit more action and this slow journey, unfortunately, is not able to tempt me. Still, I wholeheartedly congratulate on BOTD!

I do not find the book cover very attractive, it looks too common to me, but the story itself sounds very different and interesting.

I have not come across any Bible stories with talking animals, so its a bit difficult to accept it now. As I'm trying to be open-minded, even now, while writing I'm trying to imagine it, but it does not sit well with me. Thank you for an entertaining review.

I'm intrigued by the premise of the book, which sounds like a mix of dystopian, fantasy, and Christian fiction genres. I'm curious about how the author portrays the talking animals, the biblical references, and the themes of survival, friendship, and faith in a futuristic setting. You mentioned that the book has elements of adventure, humor, and romance, which make it appealing to a wide range of readers.

This book review views the world after the collapse of society as we know it. The combined lives of a man, a dog, and a cat, give us a promise of humanity continuing through it all. Hard situations are faced with a common friendship spanning man and the animal kingdom. Sounds too good to miss.

"Of the Earth" by Kim Cousins brings us the story of a puppy who finds a friend in a large cat named Carl. They will soon join Jim on his trip to the Smoky Mountains. The genre of the book can be defined as a dystopian fantasy.

. I enjoyed how well this theme worked with the dystopian aspects of the plot line, as it seemed to add a new, deeper dimension to a somewhat tense subgenre. I feel the adventure story in the book transcends religion and will appeal to readers of any kind

You wrote a very enjoyable review. This book sounds intriguing, but I don't know if it is enough to get me to read it.

Sounds like an imaginative adventure story, but the sample didn’t do anything for me personally. To each their own :)

Just the sample text left me feeling “heavier”, I imagine I would greatly agree with this review if I finish the story. Now is not the time for me to read a Christian sci/fi in a dystopian world. Thank you for your honest opinion.

This was a really informative review! I read a sample of this book and was really confused when the animals started talking to each other. I started to wonder whether it was going to be a childish kind of book with talking animals, but I guess it has a deeper meaning to it. I still don't know if I'm convinced though. Loved the review!

The start was heart-breaking. I pray the author's tragic premonition of what the world will become does not happen. How will Jim, Carl, and the puppy's journey end? Will they find greener pastures?
