From a sampling, this seems like an interesting take on the story of Samson. It might be worth a second look. Well done.

I've never read a graphic novel, though I am familiar with Samson's story in the Bible. It sounds interesting. Thanks for the warning about the adult portions. They don't bother me but I like being forewarned.

I read this in a couple of hours. It was amazing. Biblical story set as a comic. It was entertaining and educational. It had a lot of graphic images. Not for the faint of heart. It was seriously good.

I pass this does not sounds appealing due to mature themes.

Unfortunately, I'm not a fan of graphic/comic books. However, it sounds like this series has been done well and should be picked up by fans of this genre. Great review!

Biblical stories aren't for me, but I am interested to see how this one works as a comic book. Great review!

I agree with you that the comic book artwork is "spectacular." The author elaborated and imagined what Samson and his "almost" wife love would be like. Though it was creative to mix up a biblical character, Samson, with Heracles and other gods and giants in this fictional story, I am not sure that I would like the mix.

I have nothing but deep appreciation for well-sculpted men. However, I won't do well with the sacrifices. Maybe I can flip past that. :eusa-think:

This sounds like a good comic book. Since I am not into comic books, I may give a pass to this one. Congrats on BOTD!

I’m not a big comic book fan, so I will probably skip this one. Your review was a great read, though. :tiphat: :tiphat:

An intriguing ill-fated love story of Samson and Adriana, a woman, is depicted with imaginative touch in the graphic novel "Child of the Sun Complete Edition" by Michael Van Cleve. The premise set up with not only humans, but also with ancient gods and giants in addition to the author's faith in the Abrahamic God. The book looks to be interesting.
life is only knowing the unknown, we can do this by reading books easily- Online book club is a great place for this. This is what I believe.

Though I have not heard the story of Samson, this is not the kind of book I would like to read. The profanities would be off putting for me. Thanks for the a nice review, though!

The story of Samson and Delilah is a house hold classic that mesmerizes even the young bookworm. It will be interesting to see how the author manages to spin a web abound the original bible version of Samson. The author also throws in Hercules and ancient Greek gods. This definitely is a must read.

The theme on Samson's faith in the Abrahamic God sure does seem to give a bit of insightful details on his character. I just hope the author did a lot of character study not to misrepresent any of the real characters he's borrowed from sacred books as the BIble. Otherwise, this is not one for children or sensitive readers as the reviewer has rightly recommended.

I don't think I will want to read on the descriptions about Baal worship and sacrifice whether down out of love or fear. Nice review.
