Review of Love and Marriage
The cartoon book Love and Marriage by Arthur Hartz discusses issues related to dating and marriage. Hartz discusses everything, from the primary motivations behind dating to the difficulties associated with stale relationships. Due to the fact that many people today fit into many of the categories the author describes in this pamphlet, these topics are easily relatable in romantic relationships. It is essential that an erotic relationship succeed because it provides a means for couples to coexist, develop, and overlook each other's flaws. If it fails, the couple may experience emotional stress and, in some cases, even breakups.
In some ways, Arthur Hartz chose to make everything in this graphic novel enjoyable. It was very lively. No one could possibly have misinterpreted the messages sent because they were all certainly comprehensible, in my opinion. For instance, when discussing the intentions behind dating, Hartz wrote on page 62 that "men keep score with heartless conquests and women with heartless rejections." Here, he compared relationships to a game in which the winning team only comes out on top at the expense of the loser. In relationships between two people, neither person wants to be the one who is being controlled, so in an effort to assert their superiority, boundaries may be crossed, with potentially serious repercussions. Such a message is going to be difficult to ignore, and this book's simplicity was what I admired most about it.
This book had excellent writing, professional-looking illustrations, and precise analogies. It was specifically written so that it could be enjoyed over and over again. I know I would like to read it more than once, and I would enjoy it each and every time. While reading, I can't say that I found any mistakes in any part of this book that I didn't like.
Every young person in today's society has probably been in some kind of romantic partnership where prioritizing the needs of the other person is expected. While some might have understood that earlier on, others might not have. It is necessary to have a proper understanding of such issues in order to be a more reliable partner in the future. Arthur Hartz's book, Love and Marriage, is a great resource for that. Additionally, those of us who are in committed relationships but are barely able to make them work might find this book to be a quick fix. I recommend this book for such people.
I give this book a rating of 5 out of 5 stars because it was excellent and contained no obvious errors. I had nothing but positive things to say about this brief book because it was properly edited and intriguing.
