Love and Marriage, by Arthur Hartz, uses cartoons to show the challenges involved in love and marriage. It highlights the issues people encounter in finding true love and how they later settle for less. Unveiling what people expect their partners to have, it shows the preferences of both men and women, especially physical qualities. In addition, examining dating, love, and marriage, it reveals how one's choice of a partner depends on what they want, what they have to offer, and who wants what they have.

Furthermore, showing that looks are not everything in dating, the book describes the struggles and attitudes of those who don't look so great, particularly women, and the gains of those who do. In an interesting way, it reveals how people date, the benefits of marriage, and why some don't do well in marriage. As the author analyses love and marriage, he tells how people use marriage to accomplish certain goals. He shows the greatest marriage potential and what destroys it, while unveiling what is necessary to have a perfect union and domestic tranquillity.

The book is interesting and enlightening. It highlights the complexities of relationships. The cartoons are clear, and the conversations are simple and humorous sometimes. I like how it analyses communication in marriage, involving the emotional needs of different kinds of people. I appreciate the author for his great insight into love and marriage. Besides, I commend him for being able to use graphics to show many things about relationships. His book contains conversations that men and women usually have in real life, relating to members of the opposite sex.

Concerning the characters, the author uses different figures to communicate his views to his readers. Hence, they are well drawn with the appropriate body language that portrays the author's ideas effectively.

There's nothing I don't like about Love and Marriage, except that, from the cartoons, it seems like women are the problematic ones in relationships and more needy. Besides, the book shows how ladies with great bodies are the most desirable ones, while those without beautiful appearances are the less desirable ones, and that makes them settle for less. Thus, sensitive female readers may not want to read it.

In conclusion, I rate Love and Marriage 5 out of 5 stars. I didn't rate it lower because it's entertaining and educative. The pictures are clear and attractive. Moreover, the author succeeded in getting his message across in a coherent manner. In addition, it was exceptionally well edited; I didn't notice any grammar errors or typos. It'll be a worthwhile read for anyone who is seeking to understand love and relationships better.
