Mrs. White's Sub Snips by Laura Moss White is a compilation of single-page cartoon comics based on various hilarious scenarios that substitute teachers face in real life.

This cartoon book is devoted to the courageous, diligent, and unappreciated men and women who work as substitute teachers. The scenarios depicted in the book are extremely relatable. Even though I have never worked in school as a teacher or a substitute teacher, those scenarios, I believe, are applicable in all workplaces and educational institutions. Because the author has been a teacher for fifteen years, she drew on her personal experiences to produce this cartoon comic. Since each cartoon page stands alone, the author refers to the pages as "snips," or snapshots.

Although the "snips" seem humorous from the outside, you can see that they depict the struggles of someone who does not belong or fit in. Since the primary faculty at the school does not welcome substitute teachers, they encounter situations where they feel as though they do not belong or fit in. The book portrays these struggles in a light-hearted manner. These little passages have a profound meaning besides being highly entertaining.

What I liked about the book is that it's extremely relatable, fun, and humorous. They are like the snippets that sometimes I used to read in the newspaper for quick entertainment every day. The editing of the book is professional and flawless.

There is nothing particular to dislike about this book. It's just that I wanted more by the time I finished it.

I would rate this book 5 out of 5 stars.

I have given this book 5 stars because there is nothing to dislike about it. It has the potential to invoke deep emotions and make you laugh. Its relatability is undoubtedly its greatest asset. Everyone who wishes to learn about the struggles of a substitute teacher or someone in a position somewhat similar in another organization should read this book.
