Did you see the twist that the game show wasn't real coming before Elif's narrative of the events or were you shocked by the different perceptions of reality Oktay presented vs. Elif?

I yelled out that it was a mental institution while Oktay narrated about being escorted in to the studio. The description was too similar to a mental ward than a reality show.

I didn't see it coming. I sure was surprised by it. The part about being escorted in to the studio was odd, but I thought nothing of it.

That is so interesting! I think what tipped me off was the door discription, overly sterilized environment, lack of privacy, or the ability to keep personal possessions.

I thought at the time it was just a reality show that took it one step further.

No, I was completely blindsided! I thought that the "lockdown" environment was just another element of the show! It actually reminded me a little of going through Army Basic Training

I didn't see it coming! I thought it was way over the top and just so very convenient and annoying actually. I was relieved when it turned out to be hallucinations!

I wondered what was going on with the gameshow, but was totally surprised by Elif's interpretation of things. Then when I saw the following post, "That is so interesting! I thought it was a bit of an odd environment, but didn't catch the clues

I didn't catch the clues, either. I was also really surprised that it wasn't a reality show, either. I had thought that the limitations on personal affects and outside interaction were just part of the gam. I ended up going back and re-reading it, just to see the pieces that I had missed. It was definitely an interesting surprise!

I thought the behavior in the studio was really odd, but I didn't think much of it because of the nature of the book. When I read Elif's side of the story, it all clicked. I liked how the two different perspectives were connected.

I was completely shocked. That's what I love about twists like these when the author slips in clues like the description of the game show being sterile and cold. Even though it's odd I couldn't pick up on it during my first time reading the book but afterwards when you re-read it you can see all the subtle nuances. It's great.
