That's one of the things I liked when I first got my Kindle was that it slipped into my coat pocket or my pants pocket in in some cases. However, it snagged on my pocket and went spinning to the floor and broke once. So now I've got a protective folder for the Kindle, which makes it too big for my pocket.Malachi wrote:I've started reading ebooks on my smart phone.I love real books but it's so good to always have a book in your pocket.
Don't you find book print too small to read on an iphone, though? Also, can you read a book on both an iphone and Kindle and keep your place? I'm curious since I have so far resisted the extra expense of an iphone.

I think Kindles are the emperors new clothes, and are quite frankly, not that special. I was away in Greece a couple of weeks ago, and I saw many many paperbcks being read, but just one Kindle. I am not yet prepared to believe the marketing hype that Kindles are the only way forward. The new head of Waterstones has got it right. I read an interview with him in which he said that he would be fitting terminals in all high street branches, so you can pick up the digital or the paperback version. The current Mrs.Trask has a Kindle. I have looked at it, but it really doesn't grab me in any way whatsoever. I already carry a personal mobile and a work mobile, so I don't want any more technology to drag around with me. I just love the paperback format. The crease of the spine, the cover art, and the fonts.
I have heard conversations between Kindle users. Subjects discussed include use of USB Leads, Adapters, Touchscreens, Virtual Genre Shelves. It tickles me that Kindle readers have all bought something that takes more effort to use than the original product it is supposed to have usurped: A paperback.

I don't miss books at all. it's so easy to use..easy to keep track or archive books...wonderful for traveling...very user friendly. I've always been an Amazon customer so it was an easy transition...I recommend it highly!

I bought my Kindle a week ago and I am in love with it. It is very easy to use and to download books is very simple (and I am not a computer enthusiast). I bought the Kindle with a leather cover so it feels like a real book in your hand. No pondering anymore about the books you want to take with you on holiday you just take them all.
The most important point is with the e-reader you save space at home and the life of many trees.
