I've started reading ebooks on my smart phone.I love real books but it's so good to always have a book in your pocket.

That's one of the things I liked when I first got my Kindle was that it slipped into my coat pocket or my pants pocket in in some cases. However, it snagged on my pocket and went spinning to the floor and broke once. So now I've got a protective folder for the Kindle, which makes it too big for my pocket.

Don't you find book print too small to read on an iphone, though? Also, can you read a book on both an iphone and Kindle and keep your place? I'm curious since I have so far resisted the extra expense of an iphone.

I have a Kindle app on my iPhone. Yes, it syncs up nicely w my Kindle. Phone is nice if I want to read a few pages standing in line or something. Not as nice reading as on my Kindle but convenient sometimes.

Have the app on my iphone. Haven't bought any books for it but I got the free sample of black as night from amazon before I bought the real thing. They have some advantages but I don't really like reading on screens. Much prefer a real book that I can feel in my hands.

I have a Kindle and I LOVE it!! Esepecially now that I can get books for my kindle from my local library online. I have a very busy schedule and this allows me to read more. However I still love the feel and smell of a real book in my hands so at home I tend to read books. But when I am out and about, I tend to bring my Kindle.

I have not jumped on the Kindle wagon yet, and I probably only will when they stop printing books. As for prices, books are the only things I never have a guilt trip about spending on. And for all you Kindle buffs, I think if you are downloading loads of books for free at no personal cost to yourself, you shouldn't begrudge paying full price occasionally. Its about putting something back into publishing, and not just taking.

I think Kindles are the emperors new clothes, and are quite frankly, not that special. I was away in Greece a couple of weeks ago, and I saw many many paperbcks being read, but just one Kindle. I am not yet prepared to believe the marketing hype that Kindles are the only way forward. The new head of Waterstones has got it right. I read an interview with him in which he said that he would be fitting terminals in all high street branches, so you can pick up the digital or the paperback version. The current Mrs.Trask has a Kindle. I have looked at it, but it really doesn't grab me in any way whatsoever. I already carry a personal mobile and a work mobile, so I don't want any more technology to drag around with me. I just love the paperback format. The crease of the spine, the cover art, and the fonts.

I have heard conversations between Kindle users. Subjects discussed include use of USB Leads, Adapters, Touchscreens, Virtual Genre Shelves. It tickles me that Kindle readers have all bought something that takes more effort to use than the original product it is supposed to have usurped: A paperback.

Books, book, books..... I grew up in a house full of books..... both my parents were librarians! I have a GREAT appreciation for books. Seeing them on my shelves is akin to eating comfort food! I love to feel them in my hands and just flip through the pages. I know it sounds strange but I really am attached to books. After my cousin told me how much his reading experienced improved I decided to buy a Kindle. I am very glad I did. I still feel the same about real books but the Kindle has enhanced the reading experience.

Yes, I bought a Kindle recently, and I just love it! I can save a lot of my favorite books in my Kindle and subscribe for newspapers. The e-reader is lightweight, so I can brings it everywhere; plus, e-books help to save plants.

I also read using the Kindle App on my ipad. It has the feel of a book format as you have pages side by side like a book.
I'm never without either!

Hi,
I bought my Kindle a week ago and I am in love with it. It is very easy to use and to download books is very simple (and I am not a computer enthusiast). I bought the Kindle with a leather cover so it feels like a real book in your hand. No pondering anymore about the books you want to take with you on holiday you just take them all.
The most important point is with the e-reader you save space at home and the life of many trees.

Greetings from starcat42
