I was impressed with the diversity of John Madell's activities. I also think his initiative to write a book to share his life experience is laudable. Many people could benefit from the lessons he learnt throughout his lifetime. Thanks for your review!

I like the use of cartoons in the book. Also, the use of a Psalm to open each new chapter is epic. I will add the book to my to-read list. Great review.

Thanks for the thorough review. Sounds inspirational. Its touching that he maintained cordial relations with both sets of parents.

This isn't quite what I thought it would be, but it sounds very inspirational. Thanks for the review.

This sounds like a fun book. I think I shall enjoy reading the Psalm at the beginning of each chapter. It sounds like he has a bit of a British sense of humor - I hope so. As Littlehampton boasts two award winning beaches, I guess I am not surprised if dogs are not allowed.

Thanks for the good review, it certainly piqued my interest.

Thanks for your well written review. I had began to wonder why the author gave the book the title about no dogs being allowed on the beach. At first I thought it was about dogs, but now I am clear that it's more of a memoir and tribute to the author's birth and adoptive parents. I love the message it brings out, that just because you were abandoned at birth, or faced other adverse situations, doesn't mean that your life is condemned to failure. Great job.

The review sounds really cool thanks for it, but I don't think I'll get to read this book as I'm not a real fun of memoirs.
