My initial reaction was to find the title offensive. However, further reflection made me realize the deeper meaning and cleverness of it.

The first thing that grabs you about this book is the title. The title tells you that this will be a no-nonsense book. And that is exactly what it is. The author tells the truth even though that truth might hurt. I believe the title is one of the best selling points of the book. It makes you want to pick it up to see what it is all about.

The impact it left on me real realism. This book was the most real and down to earth self-help novel I have ever read. It was so impressive. From the title alone, you can tell what kind of book it is and it definitely held that first impression all the way until the end.

I thought it was silly and it made me laugh. I think the author gets the point across though.
Give me the courage to get through this week...or at least a big bar of chocolate :D

I thought the title was very witty and this overcame my usual barrier to pursuing the self-help genre that I am generally not a fan of. The 'buts' also caught my attention in practicality with my own knowledge that many of the things in life that disappoint us tend to come with an excuse as to why we don't address those problems.

I think that the title is both humorous, and gives a hint of the subject matter at the same time. Whatever it does, it draws attention. So according to me, it is a great title.

It sure is a creative title. It remains stuck in your head from the first time you see it, so the author did a fine job at coming up with it. It also has a great relation to the content of the book.

I don't like the title. It seems snarky and rude. But, I also see that the author is trying to tackle a very difficult subject with humor, so I can see where the title design came from.

It was catchy, humorous and definitely prompted me to read the book. I especially loved the word play between the 'butts' and 'buts'. To me, it gave me the impression that the author was straightforward which is something I look forward to in a book. ( I hate going round and round in circles) I also can't stand dreary and boring books preaching their ideas so the humor was one key factor why I read the book.

This is definitely an attention-grabbing title. Without /he title, I highly doubt that I would have even considered the book in the first place.

I think it is a great title, very original (and funny). Gets a little pat on the back for misspelling the word but, so can't really offend even though the other form of but is implied. Caught my interest just in the title which rarely does just a title alone get my attention!

I got a laugh out of the title and always enjoy a good pun. I quite liked that the author used it in the book, both as is, and the more common phrase to get your head out of your butt.

Honestly, it made me not want to read it. I'm glad I did though. It was much too silly to be motivational. I get it, but was turned off by it.
