Grief, anger, love, and mystery: a good recipe for a fiction story. This sounds interesting but, as I am on a nonfiction tear, I will pass. Thanks for the good review.

Thank you for your details! Interesting to know another man like McDowell exist even thought the change is not for long. Other fictional book have a lot going on which definitely sparks anyone's interest.

The book seems like it might be a little confusing with the multiple story lines, especially since it's a longer book. However, it still sounds interesting, and I like mysteries. So, I'll definitely consider reading this one.

That was an excellent review, lesler. After reading the sample, I think I got caught up in the "hard-to-follow" phase that you referenced. And at 400 pages and the graphic violence that I read in the sample, I don't think this book is my cup of tea- with so many other books out there. But I did love your summary and review of it. Thank you.

This sounds like an interesting read, with many aspects that can appeal to a wide audience. The cover doesn't do it justice. I'm hate to say it, but I almost passed this book up. Thank you for the great review!

Thanks for the review! Glad you enjoyed reading A Tough Journey. I'll have to pass due to the graphic content and my disinterest in the characters.

Thanks for the review. It's not my kind of book. I am looking for a light, cheerful and a humorous read, so will pass reading this.

Good character development is so important! It can really make or break a book. There seems to be a lot going on in this story, but I don't mind a complicated plot. I'll add this one to my shelves.

From a sampling, this was an interesting book that combined many different genres such as Romance and Mystery. it is however not for younger audiences. This book deserves a second look. Well Done.

I'm going through a tough journey of my own, so I probably won't want to read this book right now. I do appreciate your thoughtful review though. This story sounds captivating.

Books that put emphasis on mental health are good, especially when it details how the protagonist gets through it. This book sounds somewhat reminiscent of The Silver Linings Playbook by Matthew Quick, and its movie storyline as well. Since I love it, I would be interested in reading A Tough Journey.

This is a very good read. A mixture of life’s learned lessons, hardships and ups and downs, which transforms into an unforgettable love story!
