I suggest you look into reading a 'young teen' book, like the Goosebumps series.

yup it would help to know what kinds of books interest you? Also what age level would help? Goosebumps books are generally for 10-13 year olds. Is that what you're looking for or something that is more for a teenager that is 14-18; something like Taming The Golden Boys series?

I'd recommend 'animal farm' it was written to sound like a fairy story but is a mature book. A really fun read and popular book as well!

I would suggest Hemingway's The Old Man and the Sea. Simple, clean and straight forward.
