Judging from the reviews I am sure that it won't. But just to get it out there I really hope that this story does not disappoint. I do believe that it may be that same type of bizarre thing that it has going for its self that has me so interested in wanting to read it.

Awesome review. I just downloaded the book and can't wait to start reading it. I was a little skeptical about getting it because the title threw me off. Your review cleared up my questions and made it sound worth my read. I like books that are realistic and with characters i can connect.

Thank you for the wonderful review! Just reading the first few pages of the free copy had me excited, and your review has only amplified that. I love when protagonists aren't cookie-cutter perfect. Sometimes the wrong people are likeable; sometimes good people do terrible things. To see literature that reflects these realities is something that I always find refreshing.

This sounds like a good read for fans of women’s fiction and memoirs. The fact that it tackles some difficult issues like abuse and bullying as well as providing the reader with fun and laughs makes this seem very well rounded. Congrats to the author on a great review. Thanks so much for sharing.

The beginning of the novel felt intimate and emotional as the protagonist describes in detail her ritualistic bath prior to her plans for the next day. The first-person narration was the best strategy the author could have chosen to describe Lydia's traumatic past and its consquences on her feelings and actions in the present. Sounds like this book has great character development. If a character can seem so real you forget you are reading fiction, I'd say the author has done a great job!

An unusual and detailed review of what can only be an unusual book. This sounds like an exceptional reading experience to me and I look forward to it. I was also initially under the impression that this was a true story. It is interesting to wonder whether this novel was inspired by something real that the author experienced. In any event, this emotional review has me hooked on this book.

I Am Not Gog is a reminder to captive audiences that stand back and observe atrocious actions without interfering that their inaction and attention reinforces the doer's behavior and makes them equally compliant. It is also a story of growth, friendship, and the quest for freedom. Everything about this book moved me – the unpredictable characters, the unsettling actions of the protagonist and people in her life, and the ending. When I end a book with tears in my eyes, I know I have just finished a masterpiece.
