Reading this sample of the book "Empower Yourself for an Amazing Career" was a great pick me up at 11:30 in the morning. I loved how the author began the book by giving her testimony as to how she had overcome poverty, as well as made it to CEO of her company. I would very much like to read the whole book, and think I will go to Kindle and read it now!

This book seems genuinely reliable for individuals, women in particular, looking for a place in the corporate rush. It has a certain pull to it, in its “you can if you will and work just enough” kind of way and that not everything is for the privileged class but also for that one girl from a small town trying to find her niche. Great review!

The author really gives out excellent, practical, career development advice for young professionals.... She actually outlined the insights, challenges and self-reflection on what may have slowed her career progression. This is really a lesson to all, despite you're not a graduate or you are, because this matter to all living soul who wish to succeed in their career. The introduction to the book is so inspirational...that how I wish I've finished it. The review was very helpful and now I wish to pick the book up myself. It sounds a Must-read!

I like that the author instructs readers to pull the information at resonates with them and knows that there isn't a "one size fits all" with these types of self-help books.

From a sampling, this seems like an interesting self-help business book. It appears to be designed for those in the management of business. While it is not my particular favorite genre and subject, it is still worth a second look. Well done.

It sounds like it would be an enlightening read, it's not my usual genre but a little self-help once in a while wouldn't hurt. Thanks for your review.

It’s good to know that there are successful people out there willing to give people struggling on the journey tips and coaching in how to get to the top of their personal ladders in the best way. This is the kind of stuff they should have given us lessons about in secondary school. Your review makes this book sound useful and intriguing, I shall check it out.

It sounds like this is a very well organized guide with a great, positive tone. As a stay at home mom it is not relevant to me personally, but it sounds perfect for the target audience.

I am so interested in reading more of this book, as I can relate. I have been a stay at home mom for the past decade, and I was just in the beginning stages of trying to pursue a career in community outreach when I started having kids. Needless to say, I lost my spot in the workforce and I am now starting all over again.

I also loved the "Pride of the Peacock" as any woman can relate. We have the odds stacked against us, but if we can rise up and fake it 'till we make it, we can become anything that we want.
Thank you for the review!

I'm a millennial so I have no money and I've already had a laundry list full of bad managers which led to failed careers. I like how the author is full of kind encouraging thoughts on failed careers because in today's economy many people are still undergoing a financial and professional crisis. I'm too busy with work and school to read this at the moment but I'll keep an eye out for this book in the future. Thanks!
