It was horrifying indeed.

I felt the anxiety and dread of having to wait if the rest of his crew was going to be saved. And then when it was said that William was the only one missing, and Sarah convinced Myra that he was still alive, the moment where they started to form a team and a plan to search for William was so pivotal and exciting.

Yeah, that part too. Especially the part that mentions some members sustained burns as a result of the fire.Balazon2000 wrote: ↑02 Apr 2019, 12:25 For me it was the very first part of the book, the fire. The sense of helplessness when everything was going wrong and norhing anyone could do could save them from being hurt or abandoning ship.

It was a bummer, but the efforts they gave just to keep him alive was enough to semt yoir heart and hopes soar high. I mean the urgency in that scene was just so vivid.Nerea wrote: ↑08 Apr 2019, 01:37And despite the efforts to save his life, he expired. Quite saddening.briellejee wrote: ↑05 Apr 2019, 03:28 Both Larry's leg and arm getting amputated and the fire. I mean, like you said, not enough medical supplies and no way out except the open sea. I was really thought they are all doomed when both happened.

Me too.... I wasn't expecting his death. I thought he was going to survive owing to the fact that someone attended to his wounds and stopped the bleeding.maritzaalston wrote: ↑08 Apr 2019, 19:27 Larry's accident was definitely an unexpected plot twist for me. I thought that Larry was going to make it back alive and when he did not I was truly surprised.
