I love historical books, especially if they are well researched. I don't know much about what happened in China after WWII so I am looking forward to reading this book. Thanks for the review.

Thanks for your review! I appreciate the book's historical accuracy and setting. I don't know much about post-WWII China or Philippines so this book should be an enlightening read for me. I'm curious to see if the smuggling ring extends beyond opium. The power struggles between the different groups in China should be interesting to learn about.

The colourful and bright cover made me curious about this book. I was greatly surprised to hear that it was a book related to the Warramunga trilogy. Since I read the first book of that trilogy, I'm invested in Jamie and Jacko's tale and want to read it. But, due to the same reason, I think I'll have to wait until I read the other two books. So, thanks for the lovely review.

Seems like a wonderfully written book. I only read historical fiction that contains subjects that are of interest to be. This is not one of those but I would like to applaud the author for writing such a beautiful book.

It’s nice to see a fourth book written by this author with all the familiar characters like Jacko, Sarah and friends. It’s clearly a well-written, well executed novel by this now seasoned author and I look forward to trying it out. Many thanks for your review.

It’s great that the author continues to expand the lives of his characters. I don’t think these books appeal to me, but so glad others enjoy them!

Jacko and Jamie are back? Glad you found this historical fiction as suspenseful and full of action. Dealing with drug operations at Yangtze River in post-war China sounds dangerous - hopefully they make it out okay! It's great to know that the author has done a lot of research while developing this story while still able to include a good amount of action. Too bad there weren't more female representation here, aside from Sarah, and that you found some errors, but I'm glad this didn't deter from your enjoyment. Thank you for sharing!

Conflict on the Yangtze is a thrilling story of espionage and intrigue. This is the fourth book in the series by Greg Kater, but it can be read as a standalone piece. Congratulations to the author for being chosen as BOTD. Thanks to the reviewer for your excellent review.

Seems like a lot of action blended with some political drama, which I love. Thanks for the review.

This is a great work of fiction, a job well done by the author. The book reminds me of The Bourne Identity, and it sounds almost equally well researched and well written. Thanks for your terrific review.

The only thing I like asian - is food. Aside this only exception, this book and it's subject matter are is out of sphere of my interest, it's not even funny. No offence meaning to anyone and congratulations with reaching BOTD!
