How could I possibly pass this book up after such an encouraging review? You mentioned the author's writing style and I cannot pass up an opportunity to discover an author I might love. :tiphat:

"A piece of art inside another art." Well, I'm not that much into poetry but I think this one has a unique touch, I love psycolgical books. Thanks for this good review.

I like the sound of this, as I like reading novels made up of letters/diaries etc. It seems like a nice holiday romance. Thanks for the recommendation!

This is an award-winning book and will appeal to those who enjoy reading romantic tales with poetry. Not my cup of tea, though!

‪An intense story about prohibited love, a poetic writing style, and philosophical connotations sounds like a great combination. Plus, the book has won several awards. You got my attention. Thanks for the review!

I would like to thank you for telling me about the idea behind the book Atlas Shrugged. I have heard of this book many times, but I have never read it. I am glad that a book has come along which does not resemble any of the books that have been on this forum. It is a deep book that explores a lot of themes, but does it masterfully that the reader is captivated.

At first glance, I didn't think that this book would interest me at all. After reading the blurb, my interest was piqued and your review has further encouraged my interest. These two characters meet and after a kind gesture by one, it's rewarded by another and then things gradually progress and develop from a simple sacrifice for one and a kind gesture for another. I'm curious to see where things go.

Not my usual genre, but the story sounds like an interesting concept. Can two people attracted to each other just be friends? Many seem to think they can’t, but I tend to be more optimistic than that. Of course, most stories tackling that situation would agree with me, but end the story with a new couple that are friends just as much as lovers. But I feel that doesn’t fully answer the question... And I wonder if this one does.

I really liked this book; it relates to modern day couples so much. Times are not getting easier, and many couples feel as if they are drifting apart. Ellie and Neil work so well together (even though they are both married) due to the shared unhappiness and frustration that they are experiencing. I really want to see where Ellie and Neil go; they seem like the perfect couple with struggles and all. The philosophical touches on this book had me intrigued so much, and I am so happy that I was able to add this wonderful book to my collection. This is a book that I can red over and over again! I will be looking into "Atlas Shrugged" as well; this book seems interesting.

A lovely dreamy weave of romance, poetry with philosophy in the book "Looking Glass Friends" by E L Neve, which revolves around Neil who is married to Fay is unhappy with his life and on the other side Ellie is married to Jake and is the mother to a five year old living high life. The nice intermingling across the two couples appears interesting to read.
life is only knowing the unknown, we can do this by reading books easily- Online book club is a great place for this. This is what I believe.

This sounds like an interesting story except for the fact that the two main characters of this romance are already married. It's pretty hard to go into this story and not let that affect the way it's read. Marriage isn't a small thing, especially when there are children. I think I'll have to pass on this one. Thanks for the detailed review!

Beautifully written. Couldn't put the book down. The author has a keen sense of human psyche, what we all strive to get out of our lives including love.
