I loved the book Nineteen Minutes, I couldn't put it down. I was wanting to read more books by Jodi. Does anyone suggest any other ones?

I loved The Pact and Plain Truth.
Plain Truth was very good and the twist at the end - i did not see that coming.

I was not keen on My sisters keeper, but after the reviews here i will give it a go.

Jodi Picoult is probably my favorite author. I have met her twice at book signings in the area and she couldn't be nicer. My favorites, in order, are: My Sister's Keeper, Perfect Match, Nineteen Minutes, and The Pact. The rest are great but those are my absolute favorites. I haven't started the newest one yet but I hope to soon.

Jodi Picoult is my favorite author. I have read a little over half her books so far. My favorties were Salem Falls, My Sisters Keeper, Keeping Faith. I really didnt care much for Second Glance. I do recommend her to anybody who hasnt read her.

So I finished "My Sister's Keeper" the other day and it was very good, but sad. Well I guess happy sad. The ending was a real shocker...didn't see that coming!

Jodi picoult has a ton of books...I want to read most of her books if not all of them, but where do I go from here? Is there a particular order?

I think this was one of the best books i've ever read. Jodi Picoult is definitely one of my favourite authors. The Pact was good too.

I had never heard of Jodi Picoult before I read My Sister's Keeper as our local bookclub selection. I was enjoying the 'ride' of the story as the characters started unravelling, although I have to admit I was hoping every new chapter that the sister would die and all the courtcase could end.

I was totally thrown by what happened after the verdict, and sat crying as I read it. i am usually not that moved by a book.

Afterwards, I felt really angry, I guess I just like happy endings. I'm over it now though :-)

I read the Tenth Circle next, and HATED it. I felt saddened by the whole process and didn't really enjoy any part of that one.

Harvesting the Heart was next, and I couldn't get past how she could leave her child (having a baby of my own the exact same age). But I was hoping for the happy ending but I felt it just sort of stopped without a real conclusion....it was heading there, but didn't quite make it!

I don't know whether I want to try another JP book or not, I like the way she unravels the characters, but don't enjoy the book outcomes....

Books are the best friends of human being. It realizes us the power of knowledge, helps our understanding of different subjects and makes us a better person. It also improves our communication skills and our overall personality. There is nothing more exciting than reading a book and losing yourself in the characters present in the book and being a part of twists and turns of a great story.

Question. *Spoiler*

In the movie, it clearly stated that Kate is the reason why Anna filed the lawsuit. But is it the same as the book?

I just read it and watch the movie adaptation. In the book, while in the court, Anna said she was "encouraged" but I guess she already have planned to be medically emancipated.

What do you think?

I agree. After one or two books, you get the feeling (at least I did) that she was almost trying too hard to make them tear-jerkers and "surprise" endings. I definitely liked My Sister's Keeper, but most of the others left me a little ... I don't know ...

I definitely pick up a Picoult book whenever I need a good cry, though. They get me everytime, especially Sister's Keeper!

^ I have not, but it is on my list. Is it any good? Isn't Abigail Breslin in it?

For me, it is great. Even though there have been reasonable amounts of rant about it from the people who have read the book.

Actually, there is a huge difference. They have changed the ending, so watch out for that. Also the focal point is different. In the book, it is the Anna's lawsuit and her need to be another person that is not associated by her sister. In the movie, it is Kate's dying moments.

If you watched it, tell me immediately whether you like it or not. I would love to hear from a mother's perspective.

This is a beautiful, confronting and sad book yet at the same time it is positive. Jodie Picoult writes books with very confronting issues. This book really makes you think, and wonder how you would act in this situation, it lets you stand in someone else's shoes. i haven't read any of her other books because they are so confronting and emotive, but I am glad I read this one! It certainly make one think.
