As I said in the comment to the official review, I was, vicariously, to New Zeeland, a long time ago, accompanying a bunch of children, while reading Jules Verne's Deux ans de vacances. I will have to re-read it to identify any similarities to the trip described in Man Mission.

Currently, I can't judge the author's description regarding the man mission destinations because unfortunately, I haven't been to any of the places.

Sadly, I have not been to any of the locations they traveled to. But I would love to go to New Zealand and visit "Middle Earth".

I've also been to a section of Australia mentioned in the book (forget which Mission) and it sounded realistic. I've never been to Peru, but I live just a few hundred kilometers north of the Peruvian border and his description of the effects of high altitude, the open attitudes amongst tourists, as well as his guide are very realistic.
I would love to go to Hawaii. I just wish it wasn't such a long flight!

Hawaii, Japan, Fiji, Peru, Australia... I've regretfully never been to any of them either, but I'd also love to see the undulating sky ribbons of that atmospheric phenomenon!

I also lack global travel experience, but oh my goodness, wouldn't New Zealand be absolutely grand?! And lush and green and magical and wild and resplendent...

I have never visited any of the locations described in the book but I love how the author takes me to the different locations through vivid descriptions of the areas. I love travelling and Eytan Uliel makes me want to go to go to the Man Mission locations; Hawaii and Japan are top of my next travel destinations list now.

The description of the locations in the Man Mission sounds very realistic even though I've never been to any of them I did enjoy the author's work.
