At the moment, I am attempting to write a Gothic short story, which I hope to maybe expand into a novel.

But periods of intense thinking (about what is being created) should not be counted as "stops."the tiger fights wrote:The worst thing you can do is to stop writing . . . so just put the pedal to the medal and just keep on going. P.S. Reading a draft after a long break helped me to see it from a new perspective.Kowalskil wrote:But periods of intense thinking (about what is being created) should not be counted as "stops."the tiger fights wrote:The worst thing you can do is to stop writing . . . so just put the pedal to the medal and just keep on going. He bites her lip, hard. “Oww! What the f#ck!” She creeches. This is “That” moment, James thinks. She will see him for the monster he is. She tries to pull away feebly, as James grabs a big handful of tit and yanks her forcefully towards his mouth. “Stop...” is all she gets out before his fangs meet her fleshy neck in a powerful snap. Adrenaline filled blood explodes into James’ mouth and the orgasm of it shoots through his entire being.
His toes curl and his cock swells as the life essence of the beautiful, but annoying actress drains. The salty metallic flavor of it sends wave after wave of pleasure shooting through his every inch.
He feels Cindy’s heart beat weaken with every gush of fresh blood that enters his mouth. He feels her soft fleshy breast growing cold as he squeezes her in a lovers embrace. He forgives her annoying voice; he absolves her of any sin. For a moment he loves her fully and completely... but that moment is short lived.

My debut novel comes out on 30th April (yeah only two days away and I'm nervous as heck). I'm self-publishing through Bookbaby. Indeed it was hard to write and from initial idea to publication has taken twenty five years, although the serious writing (I mean madly tapping away in MS Word) took only a few months. The editing and re-writing then took another 2½ years and the publication took several months.susapra!! wrote:ever tried to write or publish a book? Have you ever wrote and finished one? Was it very hard? How long did it take?
Now I'm on the sequel. Wish me luck!

Cheers,
Xander.

Good luck. At least we (those who self-publish books) do not have to deal with editors. For us the biggest problem is to find readers.XanderRichards wrote:My debut novel comes out on 30th April (yeah only two days away and I'm nervous as heck). I'm self-publishing through Bookbaby. The more people know about proletarian dictatorship the less likely will we experience it. Please share the link with those who might be interested, especially with young people, and with potential reviewers.

Thank you so much!Kowalskil wrote:Good luck.

Indeed not, but I chose to because I wanted to produce something to as high a standard as it could be (I do, however, defer to the reader for judgment on that qualitative point). I now realize that it was a much more important step than I originally imagined. I got it professionally edited twice and I'm VERY glad I did.Kowalskil wrote:At least we (those who self-publish books) do not have to deal with editors.
I totally agree, and therein lies my next massive challenge!Kowalskil wrote:For us the biggest problem is to find readers.
