To others it seems like the book has full of dark themes and really off putting characters.cvetelina_yovcheva87 wrote: ↑01 Feb 2020, 15:34 I have not had the chance to read this book yet, but on the basis of all I have read about it, it seems to be really enjoyable.

I too thought that the overly sexual attraction to his mother was disturbing to say the least but I was thankful when it was explained away in the fact that it was due to the serum running through her veins that cause the attraction not the sick thoughts of an undesirable. I think that it was off putting in that same sense because throughout the book no one really touches on the subject much past the first chapter. It's explained away later in the book and its clear that the mother and Carly both knew in two separate capacities something wasn't right. His mother I feel should have addressed this is some fashion and more so Carly should have considering she found and burned down his psycho 'den'. I am sorry but even at the ripe age of 17-18 I wouldn't have found such a thing and trusted my boyfriend whom I had only just met the past year to tell me when he was ready without making hints to it or outright asking while in the cover of a large crowd incase things went south. I felt there was more to the story after the first chapter, in the least I hoped there was more to the story.Kclarkin09 wrote: ↑09 Feb 2020, 09:28 This is my first book that I have read as a member of the review team. I am slightly confused as all I have seen online are glowing reviews. My initial impression of the book was that it seemed as though the author had used a thesaurus much too liberally. Coming fresh off of receiving my Master’s in English I just couldn’t look past the terrible writing style and syntax errors. I’m also not sure how all of the reviewers could look past the fact that Adam is attracted to his mother and has dark, serial killer type tendencies. I’m not sure this is what our young adult population needs to be reading. As a new reviewer, am I expected to write the ideal review for the author or will I be penalized for giving my honest opinion?

I love this book. I can literally say it's one the best books i've read. I like the whole new discovery Adam made about himself and the family he originates from. I like the way he was welcomed, taken in and taught how to maximize his abilities by Dauma.
This book is a thriller and a science fiction. To me, everyone who loves books and reading should get their hands on a copy of this book.
It's a must read!...seriously!!. I practically read this book in day!, A day!. I couldn't stop turning the pages...lol
I'm already getting the other two sequels as soon as possible.
