Sounds like a rather wild ride! When you first described it as a "dark romance," I was thinking, "Romance?! Sounds more like a psychological thriller to me!" so your last sentence was affirming. Just out of curiosity, does the anti-hero ever redeem himself? I can't find too much to interest me if he remains a misogynistic, gaslighting jerk throughout.

Love stories with a mix of mystery is a turn on for me, though the dark love aspect brings to my mind 50 shades of gray, nevertheless I'll still give it a try. Thanks for the review

I will have to give this a read. I enjoy a good romance, and the dark elements does sound intriguing. I hope he doesn't remain a misogynistic jerk throughout though. Thank you for your review.

A dark romance with enough twists and turns to keep readers engrossed. While the book sounds very interesting, the misogyny puts me off. Nonetheless, I think this is a book I'd read with my girlfriends and recommend to other ladies as a reminder that romance is not always rosy. Thank you for a candid review.

This one sounds captivating and intriguing. The title sounds attractive as well. The author must be a great story teller to have woven together a beautifully-written romance story. Thanks for an engaging review.

The reviewer was right on point when she said that "This book is not your conventional love story." I don't usually read books that are classified as Romances, but the sample pages and the review make me want to see if Alexandra will be an equal to Patrick or just another one of his conquests.

I felt myself becoming enraged by the condescending ways he spoke to Alexandra.
Pleasure, disgust, rage.... sounds like a good read if it evoked such contrasting emotions in you. Thanks!
I am about to begin the first chapter, hope it´s as steamy as you say... :reading-3:

I like the plot of this book. And thanks to the review, I have a clear idea what to expect. Not too cheesy or unrealistic that romance stories tend to be.

The author clearly has quite the writing skills if you have emotional and physical reactions to certain scenes in the book. I can imagine that I would have reacted the same way to those certain scenes if I were to have read them as well. Despite the anger that you felt towards Patrick and his misogyny, it is common in the business world for men in power to act like that. I liked that the book is like a cautionary tale of what not to do in a romantic relationship.

This is a great book describes the act of some wealthy men who abuse the influence of their wealth. Though becoming a puppet depends on your self esteem as a woman. If you put a certain pecuniary value on yourself then someone will probably live up to that value and make you worthless. Congrats on BOTD
