It is also important to mention that these trips served as a mission for self-discovery of men specifically, and the narrator's journey to finding his masculinity and finding a deeper meaning behind it. The road to self-discovery of men is extraordinarily different that that of women, especially regarding gender roles and what each gender is expected to uphold within modern society. Typical stereotypes require men to be strong and independent, yet in this current society, women are beginning to also conform to that notion. Women on a man mission, would be a very interesting viewpoint, as each woman is different and would not be the same as any other woman on the same mission. I would very much like to see a Man Mission 2, yet with women instead of men, in order to see how a man portrays women in modern society.

I prefer to go with family as well, it is more comfortable than with friendsreaderrihana wrote: ↑06 Feb 2020, 22:30 I would like to visit some places, but perhaps with family or husband is better. I would not like to go to very dangerous places, places with flying insects, scorpions, huge spiders and snakes that come in the house, or go in the sea where there are sharks. So I don't know where exactly to go

I can't see myself doing what they did, I prefer a more relaxed vacation.Michelle Fred wrote: ↑05 Feb 2020, 04:21 I enjoyed reading the book, but I don't think I would want to go on a similar adventure. I lead a hectic life and my ideal vacation is one filled with lots of relaxation and comfort. I noticed they started to switch things up a bit as they got older. They hired guides, sometimes porters and even cooks. I particularly liked their catamaran Thailand expedition; that is the kind of mission I see myself going on.

I agree with you 100%, as a woman I prefer more serene outings. I can't imagine myself climbing glaciers in Iceland. They are tempting challenges but if I were invited, I'd definitely pass.See_B00kReaDs wrote: ↑30 Apr 2020, 09:45 Women are always on a mission, just like any other man. Though their adventures are fun and interesting, I couldn't see myself doing the things they did, it's just too physical for most women. I usually prefer the ordinary travel sightseeing.
