I think e-books will revive the markets for novellas and short stories. They can be easily produced and distributed and priced to sell. I've got plans to do some more, but the next project I will try will be a full-length novel.

From both perspectives, your best bet is to just write. Write, then hire an editor (or a ghostwriter) to work with you to clean it up and add "personality," if you don`t have it.

I can't comment as far as Amazon, but I have used smashwords to publish one of my short stories and I find the entire process worth while, if not entire as speedy as I would of cared for. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to publish e-books as their premium catalogue gives you access to distributors like itunes, kindle, and barnes & noble.Jimrada wrote:I've written two e-books now. Both of them were novellas. I figured that I would start small to work out any kinks in the process. I used Smashwords and Amazon to produce them. It was pretty easy. Smashwords has a great step-by-step guide.
