Yes! I have been to most of the countries where they had the "man missions", but not all of the specific places, of course. I have visited New Zealand, Australia, Fiji, Peru, Japan, Thailand, Spain, South Africa, Vietnam, and Hawaii. I think I'm only missing South Korea, Iceland, and Taiwan from the book. That's one reason this book was especially fun for me to read -- I enjoyed revisiting the places I have been.

Have you visited or lived in any of the locations of the man missions? Do you find the descriptions in the book to be accurate? I know the author is a travel blogger as well, so I assume they are pretty on target, but I did wonder.

Of all the places, the only one I have been to is Fiji (although I didn't ocean kayak). I found the kava ceremonies to be pretty accurate, it's basically the after-work pastime in Fiji to sit around and share kava, even in the big towns. If you are there, you will be invited to partake. Although, I never drank enough to get as high as the characters.

No, I haven't been to any place journeyed in Man Mission but I anticipate going to do it someday. Maybe take a vacation to Fuji.
