Reading from different perspectives and it makes anything you could ever imagine possible.

I have 2 reasons.
1. It makes me feel that I've gone to different places, met different people and enjoyed new environment.
2. I get busy and occupied instead of being idle and not thinking straight.

I like the fact that I use my imagination as I read along, and also get a different perspective about different things.

I like reading because, it really gives me my solo time to nurture my thoughts, gives me wisdom to think out of the box . I really appreciate the way authors and their team create plots that are really captivating, sometimes you get so involved that you get emotional, more over some character's have a long lasting affect on you, this really is a great art and some writers have excelled in it.

I've loved reading almost my entire life, and strangely, never asked myself this! For me, it's about the adventure. Getting lost in far-off lands you can only imagine. Seeing the world through the writer's eyes. Uncovering the mystery and finding out whodunit... I suppose it's the escapism from the everyday and the mundane. Reading has become second-nature and quite possibly an addiction. :techie-studyingbrown:

Reading allows my mind to wander. When my mind wanders, my creativity juices flow. Reading also exposes me to different worlds.

Aside the general excitement and thrill that an engaging story creates. Like music, reading takes me to a place nothing else does. It’s like watching scenes unfold without being affected physically. It’s an amazing feeling

One word. Escapsim.

I love how reading allows me to simply forget about all my troubles. I think it's the only activity I can do without having a thousand other things going through my head. When I'm reading, it's just me and the characters. No one else. I feel as though everything around me disappears and I'm...transported into another realm. Needless to say, I often find myself disappointed when I realise the world around me hasn't magically transformed when I finally put down the book.

I read because literature is an art form that is very tangible. I can play with the words and discover new meanings as well as read and go through the adventures that the writer intended for me.

I think I have Maladaptive Daydreaming. Reading offers me a lot of new stories to think about. It can also sway me away from daydreaming too often.

I agree.
Once you have read a book you care about, some part of it is always with you.
