Are you searching for a book that will keep your children indoors, especially during this COVID-19 pandemic? It would be best if you considered buying The Mountain and The Goat by Siamak Taghaddos. The book emphasizes the need for children to be more enterprising in their day-to-day lives through an engaging approach.

I loved Taghaddos’ use of clear illustrations in the book. He provides a graphical image for each scene in the plot. It is a wise move, especially in capturing the young reader’s attention since they are more fascinated by cartoons. It is also clear that Taghaddos understands the intended audience of the book well.

The book is also a short read with a length of twenty-one pages only. In addition to that, the author limits the storyline to a maximum of only two sentences per page. Therefore, it would be a comfortable read for children as they are well-known to shy away from lengthy books. The conciseness also allows the reader to have a quick recap of the book.

The book also contains several important lessons. For instance, I learned more about how the ecosystem works and the need for every person to play their respective roles well for the world to achieve balance. The book additionally focuses on the significance of being generous to each other in life, an invaluable lesson for the young. It also teaches the young reader on the importance of caring for the environment.

I also loved the poetic approach used in writing the book. It exposes the reader to the poetic world at an early age. The exposure goes a long way in sharpening the reader’s comprehension skills.

I didn’t have any dislikes about the book. It has no errors throughout its length, and it also doesn’t have any instances of profanity or erotic scenes. It is also a comfortable read for readers from all faiths as there are no religious beliefs stressed in the book.

I rate it 4 out of 4 stars. It is an informative and engaging read that leaves the reader better equipped for the current world. I recommend it to all children below the age of ten.

I read the book but was not satisfied because I did not find the narrator in the illustrations. I agree with all the other aspects you liked in the book. Nice review.
