It wasn't appealing to me. The review was good but going through it, it cleared that there's mostly things based on a teenager . Set in a 1960 time span, I'm not fan of it. So I'll skip it.

This is an interesting coming of age story. I was drawn to it by the descriptive language. I love the author's extensive use of figurative language and mostly the animation of the inanimate. Thanks for a wonderful review. Congratulations BOTD.

Well done @B Creech, nice review! The last paragraph was particularly useful.

I like the name of this book .The boy of this story'life is also like summer hot, dusty and sad,who has no support of his family , especially his mother. His mother is a drunk woman .who doesn't fulfill her duties as a mother.

Those grammatical errors seem will annoy me when I read this book, but I'm still eager to read the book next time. Nice review!
