Someone Else's End is the third book in the We are Voulhire series by Matthew Tysz. In their desire to free Virko from the demons that had taken over it, Galen, Demetrius, and Rowan go to Soulhire to see the king and ask for his intervention but they had no idea what they were walking into. Meanwhile, the dancing warriors of Ravi Rohavi remain relentless in their mission to take over Voulhire. Meldorath, the new Eiodi, has the king, Wilhelm, and the archives of Soulhire, as his next targets. As if Voulhire was not having enough troubles already, the Emperor of Lullabies extends his strength to further heat the boiling waters of Voulhire.

Matthew Tsyz has become one author whose writing I enjoy at any time. I like the way his stories follow an unpredictable pattern and keep a reader hooked despite the many plotlines and characters. Although this book does not pack as much suspense as the previous two in the series, it, nevertheless, has a lot of action, unpredictable turns, and interesting developments. There is a curious glimpse of Marshus and Beth, both of which were seen in book one of the series. The book also has a cliffhanger ending that leaves the reader eager to read the next book of the series.

Most of the story is told in the third-person point of view. In the previous books, only Galen's story is narrated from the first-person point of view but in this book, his companions, Demetrius and Rowan, become the only other characters whose stories are also told from the first-person point of view. There are new dimensions to the character of Galen as well as that of Maido - a true testament to how the true colours of people emerge in challenging times. Also, there is the introduction of fantastic animals, the Ramshires. I hope to read more about them as well as Folcro in subsequent books.

I recommend Someone Else's End to readers of fantasy fiction. People who enjoy reading horror tales and fast-paced stories with action scenes would also enjoy reading this book. This book is unsuitable for children because it contains profane language.

I found only a few errors while reading this book, which neither disrupted the story nor indicated a lack of professional editing. For being a very good story with good editing, I give the book a rating of 4 out of 4 stars.
