I liked that Kalayla was the title. It shows the common-denominator that focuses the reader into the story from the very beginning.

I think 'Kalayla' is a very unique name and thus makes for a unique title as well. A more specific name about the contents of the book might give away a lot about the book.

Kalayla is that link to all three women. She is the main protagonist in a way, even though there are three prominent figures in the story.

I also agree with your point. Besides since it is not a common name, it effectively draws the reader's attention to the book. So to me, Kalayla is the most appropriate title for its plot.

I think Kalayla is suited as the title, it leaves mystery and curiosity to find out more.

Well I think Kalayla is okay for the book as she was the one who tied all those other women. About 'Family Todd's ad a titlle, I think it's kind of not appropriate for that as the story there is likely to revolve around Kalayla and her acts.

Kayla preserved the strongest relationship with all of them, and the book had primary spotlight upon her so it's only appropriate.

The title Kalayla is more suitable then the title “Family Ties”. If you name the book “Family Ties” readers will already have a perspective in their head before reading the book. Here are some other totle thoughts; “Kalayla in the middle” , “Caught in the middle”, or Kalayla in between” .

Kalayla's central role shifts all the focus on her, which is very correct because the other protagonists lives revolve around her. Simply put, she's the "center-pole" in that arrangement.

I think the title of the book is okay. It perfectly captures what the book is all about once you read the book. There are a few other titles that could have worked, though.

This too was my thought! Kalayla is a beautiful name, not to detract from that, but she is one of the characters, and there are three that play center stage. While I do feel that Maureen and Lena work together to help Kalayla be successful in life, these characters sort of get "short-billing" the way the book is titled. I'm not sure what a better title would be, or if it should be changed, but I would be interested to know why the author chose this title rather than something other then Kalayla.

Well, due to fact that book had a lot to talk about Kalayla. Coupled with the fact that she's the youngest and also the centre of the ties between the 3 sister. Therefore, I believe using her name as the title is in place.

I think sometimes, readers get drawn to a book through the title. "Kalayla" is more intriguing than "family ties" because you will want to know more about kalayla and since the story revolves around her, it's the best title for the book.

Now when I think of book titles, I think "catchy", "Intriguing" etc. Once the book title has both elements, its perfect and Kalayla covers the field. Yes she is the youngest of all three protagonist but she is also what connects the other two. So I think naming the book after her was perfect.

I think the title and the general presentation of the book is pretty good. I can't think of any alternatives as interesting.
