I began reading this book last week and am approximately half way through the book. This review seems very well written. I agree that there are some explicit scenes, and I appreciate how you worded your warning. I disagree that these scenes add a lot to the extremely awesome plot. I don't think they detract, but I feel like some of the sex is more described than other scenes of more worth to the plot (interactions between the queen and Marcellus for example).

But I also agree with you, that I would recommend this book, and it is a great read.

Also, I did question the use of “hooligans” and “shenanigans” during ancient Roman times,
Very keen observation. These words seem out of place in ancient times. It would help to be more mindful of the choice of words. Thank you for the insightful review.

If you’re looking for a captivating and memorable read, then Apollo’s Raven is the perfect choice. It is an enthralling story of love, loyalty, and an ancient curse that you won’t want to miss.

Greek mythology is my most favourite of all times. This book is a great combination of mythology and forbidden love. And I'm a sucker for both! Definitely, will read this one! Great review.

An insanely awesome plot: the reviewer knows how to get me excited to read this book. A genre which is not my usual go-to, I like the aspect of interacting with animals, a strong female lead character, the setting in the era of the Romans.

Thank you for the nice review! I like the way you point out the way the writer narrates the story and also how some parts could have been done differently to avoid spoilers. I really liked the idea of mixing connections between humans and animals in a book!

Epic fantasy is really not a genre I'm interested in, but this is a really good review, there's a good equilibrium between talking plot, structure and criticism. I feel like I'm properly informed on the book and weather or not it is for me.
I would have liked some clarification on what being connected to the crows means tho.

I can sense that the reviewer enjoyed this read, and he pointed out some imply points such as the occurrence of sexual scenes. Thank you for that. It seems like a suitable book for young adults.

I love Celtic history and mythology, and how could you go wrong with druids, sorcery, a prophecy and an ancient curse? Then the Celtic Princess meets the Roman son of her family's enemy, and you know it's going to be a great romance. Her connection with ravens is intriguing also. "Apollo's Raven" is the name of the book, and in Greek mythology Apollo turned the raven black because he was a tattletale. It was an interesting review. I look forward to reading the book.

Though I stay far away from druids and sorcery, I'm intrigued by the plotline and well-shaped characters you described. And the way the plot flows and increases in tension is quite alluring. I must say you did a fantastic job with this review. Well done!
